Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is your boundary for detailing?
A: We currently have a 40-mile boundary for a single vehicle detail. If you have more than one vehicle and live outside our 40-mile boundary, please email or call me to discuss options.

Q: Do you need electricity or water from my home/office to detail my car?
A: No, our state-of-the-art mobile detail rigs has 250+ gallons of filtered water and generators onboard to provide electricity for our detailing equipment. This allows us to go anywhere you might be, even if electricity is not available.

Q: What hours do you work?
A: Our mobile hours are monday-friday 1030am till 6pm, and the detail facility is monday - friday 10am - 6pm and Saturdays 10am - 2pm. We are closed on Sundays.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We prefer Cash or Check; however we also take Master Card, Visa, and American Express.

Q: How do I schedule an appointment with you?
A: Click the link below, fill out the form with your name, email, phone number and a message with the make, model and condition of your vehicle. We will get back to you shortly to schedule an appointment. Schedule Now

Q: What if I have to cancel my appointment? How much time should I give you?
A: Common courtesy would be at least 24-hour advance notice, but I understand things happen. We send out a confirmation email the day before your appointment date, and if you have to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible so I can make other arrangements and attempt to fill your slot. If for some reason you do not show up, or cancel after the guys & truck have arrived at your scheduled address, then there will be a $75.00 cancellation fee as we have to pay for fuel, lost time and labor. Please try to give us a min of 12 hours if you need to cancel your appointment to elivate this fee.

Q: I just bought a new vehicle, should I wait a few months to contact you to detail it?
A: I highly recommend that you let us detail your new vehicle as soon as possible. There will be tons of contamination that needs to be removed. The worst being the shipping contamination, such as sea-salt, exhaust, rail-dust, industrial fallout, or tree-sap that might have contacted the clear-coat during shipping. We do this by using our clay-bar treatment. Also its best to start your car's life with a great application of Swissvax waxes. We can come to the dealership that you have purchased your vehicle and prep the vehicle prior to you picking it up for the first time. For more information visit our New Car Prep page.

Q: What do swirl marks and machine buffer marks look like?
A: Please click here to view a before and after picture of swirl and machine buffer marks.

Q: Do you need to work under cover or in a garage?
A: We prefer to work outside in the direct sunlight. We do carry a 10x20 popup tent, however we hardly ever need it. The high quality waxes that we use on our details do not matter if we apply in direct sunlight or shade. I enjoy using the sunlight to enhance my work's outcome.

Q: I want to enter my car for a local car show or out-of-state concourse event. Can you prepare it?
A: We can do everything needed to prepare your vehicle for an upcoming show or concourse event. From undercarriage detailing to engine detailing we can perform it all and then some. Please email me for more information.

Q: Do you sell any of the products you use?
Q. Why should I choose Detail Werkz Dallas to detail my car?
A: Faced with the realisation that you don't have either the time or the necessary

Q: How often should I Clay-Bar my vehicle?
A: I recommend that you attempt to clay bar your vehicle at least every 3 months, especially if you drive the vehicle on a daily basis. When you start to feel your paint to be rough to the touch, its time for a clay treatment.

Q: Will Clay Remove my Swirls?
A: No, clay bar treatment does not fill or remove swirl marks. Its main purpose is to remove surface contamination such as rail dust, break dust, industrial fallout, tree sap, road tar, bug residue, paint over spray, and acid rain deposits.
